The problem

In a Shopify Admin Orders export, an order with three items takes three rows, but only the first row has the email, shipping address, payment status and shipping method. That breaks pick lists, pack slips, pivot tables and files for a 3PL.

How it works

  1. Export your orders as CSV from Shopify Admin.
  2. Drop the Orders CSV into Shopify CSV Densifier.
  3. Order-level blanks are forward-filled until the order Name changes; Lineitem columns are never filled.
  4. Pick the Pick, Pack, 3PL, All or Custom column preset and compare Before and After.
  5. Download the CSV (optionally with an Excel UTF-8 BOM).

FAQ

Does Shopify CSV Densifier upload anything to Shopify?

No. It never talks to Shopify. Your Orders CSV is read and processed in the browser only.

What does densify mean here?

Shopify Orders exports leave many order-level cells blank on line-item continuation rows. Densify forward-fills those blanks so each line item has a complete row, without filling Lineitem columns and without bleeding values into the next order.

Will it fill Lineitem SKU, name or quantity from the row above?

No. Lineitem columns are never filled. Only order-level fields (Email, Shipping, Financial Status and similar) are carried down until Name changes.

My 3PL uses different column names. What do I do?

Use the Custom preset and tick the columns you need. The built-in presets match common Shopify Admin English headers.

Excel opens the download with garbled characters. Why?

Re-download with Excel UTF-8 BOM checked, or import through Excel's UTF-8 CSV flow.

Is it a subscription?
